Autogen

X-Plane's built-in autogen places generic buildings and vegetation based on land use data — but roads, railways, and waterways remain basic, and industrial sites stay static. Community scenery packages fill this gap with detailed infrastructure derived from OpenStreetMap and other geographic databases: localized traffic objects, realistic road hierarchies, maritime routes, and effects that bring existing autogen to life. All packages listed here are pure scenery without plugin dependencies, so they install on Linux like any other scenery folder; their position in scenery_packs.ini follows the rules in Components.

XPNetwork Europa adds OSM-based road, rail, and maritime networks with dynamic vehicles across Europe. Smoke & Steam for SimHeaven attaches particle effects to X-World chimneys and cooling towers and therefore requires SimHeaven X-World (see Sources). OSM Offshore Oil Rigs places worldwide platforms as heliports for helicopter operations.
